Nagabali river originates from the Bijipur Hills of the Eastern Ghats, near the Lanjigarh. Out of its total length of 256 km, it travels 161 km through Orissa.
The catchment area of the basin is 9,510 square kilometers. Nagavali is an interstate river with 4462 square km and 5048 square km river basin area located in Orissa and Andhra Pradesh respectively.
