Biju Patnaik Airport of Orissa


Biju Patnaik Airport also known as Bhubaneswar Airport, is situated in the city of Bhubaneswar, Orissa. It is currently the only major airport of Orissa. It is named after the former Chief Minister of Orissa Biju Patnaik, who was also famed as an aviator and freedom fighter.

   The on-going developmental work at the Biju Patnaik airport in Bhubaneswar, which aims to upgrade the airport as an International standard airport. After completion of these works, the final capacity of the Bhubaneswar airport would be 1000 domestic passengers and 384 international passengers during peak hours.
