Bansadhara River of Odisha

The Bansadhara river or Vamsadhara river originates from the flanks of the Lingaraj hills, in Kalahandi district. Of its total length of 254 km, the river travels 150 km in Orissa. It has a total catchment area of 11,500 square km.


   Tourist attractions of Mukhalingam and Kalingapatnam in Srikakulam district are located on the banks of this river. The Bansadhara finally joins itself in the Bay of Bengal at Kalingapatnam of Andhra Pradesh.
